what can i make with these ingredients!?
i have pork stakes, mushrooms, garlic andddd peas...salad too! help x
Mince the garlic. Thaw out pork chops to room temperature.
Heat up the frying pan with cooking oil. When the oil is barely starting to give off smoke, the frying pan is hot enough for cooking.
Toss in the garlic, spread around evenly. Let it sizzle for half a minute or so.
Place pork chops in the frying pan. Sear each side for 5 minutes, give or take, depending on the thickness of the chops. While frying, season with salt and pepper to taste - I hope you have them.
Now, other ingredients you didn't mention but I hope you have, to change it up a bit:
Liquor. Prior to cooking the chops, pour a shot of whiskey or 1/2 cup of cooking wine to the chops, mix it up. The alcohol content will be cooked off but the chops would be more tender and flavorful. Add a dash of water to aid the moisture.
Onions. During the frying of chops, throw in some onions, julienned, add salt. Pan fry the onions until caramelized. Season to taste, and garnish the chops with it.
One tip: If there's fat surrounding the chops, cut the fat edge of the chops with scissors, roughly every 1 to 2 inches. This will prevent the chops from curling up with the edge contracting too much when being cooked. The chops would stay flat.
Garnish the chops with mushrooms and peas. Raw or cooked to taste - in the same frying pan even, right after cooking the chops, for extra flavor. Or separately, in another frying pan, with butter - yet another ingredient not on the list; hope you have it also.
