Where can I purchase a nib (Just the metal part) of a Parker Frontier Fountain Pen?
I've looked on quite a few stationer's websites but I just can't seem to find anything like it! I would have thought that it would be a common problem because most people can't afford a new Parker every time it breaks!

What exactly is a fountain pen? Dictionaries and encyclopedias say a pen is a pen with a tip which feeds a reservoir ink internally. The ink is drawn through a point source to a combination of capillary action and gravity. With ink runs the tip, the pen requires little or no pressure to write. In fact, some people with arthritis can not use pens, but you can use fountain pens.

That said, most birds come every day in the following sizes.
* Point - a very good figure to work accurately. Useful for architects and designers, but not for everyday use.
* Extra Fine - write the fine line and a minimum pressure.
* Fine - produces a very fine line and is ideal for general use ..
* Media Center - The most common and used for general use.
* Large - produces a wide and thick.
* Extra large - Produce a "heavy" line, ideal for bold signatures, and has a large, round tip.
* Extra Extra Large - As its name suggests, it produces a wide range in bold.
If you buy a pen, a good buy as the points can and often do, last longer than the user.
Filling mechanisms
Today Most cages use a cartridge or a piston filler. Many Feathers also use a "converter" which is a device that has the same facility at one end of a stick, but it has a reservoir and the charging mechanism to enable the user to use cartridges or fill a bottle of ink.
So which is better?
